We were the appointed consultants for the 93-bed apartment, office-block refurbishment with commercial units in the basement and ground floor. The refurbishment included an extension of the building with two floors added.

The project scope was to provide performance duties that met Newcastle Council’s Net Zero Strategy and the client’s brief. Our energy model incorporated PV, building fabric U-value efficiencies, energy-saving luminaires, VRF units and hot water provided by a CO2 heat pump system.

As part of the design package we delivered SAP calculations, Part L and MEES compliance, utilities coordination and MEP plant specification.
